This is the cave that holds the nursery of the tribe. The nursery is separate from the rest of the tribe because they believe the kits need a safer place to be than in the front of the cave, so they are deep down a tunnel and with the kit-mothers in the nursery. The Cave-Guards, and even Prey-Hunters would do anything to protect the nursery kits.
